Which Hermès Scarf Is Right For Me?
Every Zodiac Sign Has A Scarf
Astrology and Hermès aren’t so different
Here’s one of the most daunting questions I receive, “which Hermès scarf is right for me”? It’s perfectly valid and seemingly a straight forward answer. But when you’re like me and can make a case for almost any motif or size and frankly have no idea how to decipher a color season, it’s a question that makes my head start to spin a little bit. Would they like something symmetrical or asymmetrical, whimsical or classic, small or big, new or vintage? And the list goes on. Plus there are thousands of motifs to choose from! In fact, I’ve even made a three-part series on my socials, leading you to pick your first scarf by strictly only talking about the benefits of each option (it’s called 1st scarf in my highlights).
So here’s where we are going with this and how we are arriving at our answer today. When we can’t decide for ourselves, we lean on astrology. Plus astrology and Hermès aren’t so different. Both are systems people use to justify questionable purchases (and amazing obviously, too). Astrology insists your personality can be explained by the alignment of planets at the moment you were born. Hermès feels like a motif can express just as much about who you are. Neither claim is exactly scientific, but both inspire devotion pretty much bordering on religious, and both are impossible to argue with once you’re a believer.
And if we’re honest, people already use their star sign to excuse everything from rekindling relationships that should be left in the past to spending $800 on a crystal. Meanwhile, Hermès collectors justify a sixth Brides de Gala because “this one’s in a different colorway.” The second one feels very familiar.
So, why not combine the two? If your zodiac sign can predict what’s coming next for you in life, surly it can lead me to help choose a next scarf too.
